Where we work

Most of our adaptation work is focused in the Upper Midwest and Northeast, including 14 national forests and millions of acres of forests, grasslands, wetlands, and coastal ecosystems.

Demonstration projects are real-world examples of how managers have integrated climate considerations into natural resource management planning and activities. These projects use the partnerships and resources developed through the Framework to test new ideas and actions for responding to changing conditions. Demonstrations come in all shapes and sizes, showcasing a variety of adaptation actions that achieve diverse land management goals.
